Happy Holidays, time (?) what time (?)

We think in terms of time, days, weeks, hours, years, yet what is this but a reflection of our planets movement, right? It is this, one day is the complete rotation of our planet. The Sun doesn't rise, it's the Earth continuing it's "endless" rotation and as our world turns on it's axis we have the perception of the sun rising, but, in actuality, it is the world turning .

We think of our years as a lockstep to this initial "convention," yet it is again, the rotation of our world 360 degrees around the sun in a circle and we call this a year's time or interval.

We turn as a planet at about 1,000 miles an hour, don't notice it, right, neither do I, but again, it is what is. The World moves at about a quarter of a million miles an hour, 250,000 mph, around the sun in an elliptical orbit which makes up our "yearly" rotation.

Fun facts, yet, they are ingrained in us leaving a residue of a reality which is actually not true. How old are you is one, we each "age" differently, so although we might be of the same chronological age, we actually are not physically aging at the same rate as we are unique and being so everything needs to be considered on an individual basis.

Why am I describing this circumstance because it is indicative of the half truths we have lead our Selves into believing, taking for granted things which can or often lead us into mis-understandings.

Religions and spiritual traditions can also be filled with interpretations of events and characterizations, left unquestioned, leading to potentially false beliefs and doctrines. Everyone has their own unique opinion on this sensitive subject, yet questioning one's own premise of belief can actually deepen one's commitment, valuing one's deeper inquiry not lessening one's spiritual tradition.

So, you might consider this as an invitation to look into your Self for confirmation of whom you are and why. Happy Holidays to all sentient be-ings. Oh, just in case, every day is a holiday somewhere for someone, inclusiveness is important...
